It’s been a very difficult week for residents of Oatridge Gardens who have been evacuated from their homes as a result of the large sinkhole that opened up under one of the houses and the road.
It’s been a busy start to 2014 as I have been continuing to steer the Mesothelioma Bill through Parliament. I am delighted to say that it has now completed its Third Reading and is awaiting Royal Assent.
Throughout November I have been supporting the Movember charity – growing a moustache to raise awareness of men’s health issues, in particular prostate cancer, testicular cancer and mental health.
There have been a number of occasions lately where the local Members of Parliament have been working together to try to resolve issues for the betterment of all of us.
