Mike Penning, MP for Hemel Hempstead, visited Sainsbury’s at Apsley Mills on Saturday (17th November) to receive gift vouchers for the Treats for our Troops campaign.

Store Manager, Adrian Cousins, presented Mike with £100 worth of vouchers. The vouchers were received by Mike Penning and Barbara Daniels who is President of Hemel Lions. The Lions will spend the vouchers on items to help fill shoebox parcels which will be sent to troops in Afghanistan and the Falkland Islands.

Mike Penning said:
“I am absolutely delighted with the response to the Treats for our Troops campaign this year and I thank Sainsbury’s for their kind contribution. Sainsbury’s do a lot of good work in the local community and I am very pleased that they have contributed to the Treats for our Troops campaign.”
